Already 2 1/2 weeks!??!
First time taking a bottle...
Okay, so I'm a little slow getting her two week stats posted (for those who care ;D ).
At two weeks, Karly was:
*8 lbs, 6 oz -- around the 50th percentile
*21 1/4 inches long -- still around the 95th percentile (how did we get such a tall baby?!?!)
*Head circumfrence was around the 50th percentile (at 4 days old, it was around the 30th percentile, so does that mean her head grew THAT much in less than two weeks? Percentiles are weird...)
For the most part, she is a VERY good baby. As far as sleeping patterns go, she's usually awake a lot in the evenings (so she can play with her daddy), then she'll eat at midnight, sometime between 3 and 4, then sometime between 6 and 7 and sleep until 9 or 10. I know, I'm VERY lucky. Usually she'll sleep quite a bit in the day (except today she decided she wanted to be awake and fussy the WHOLE day so mommy couldn't get anything done. Silly girl).
She still goes cross-eyed and makes her "O" face all the time. And I still love it. She also has smiled once or twice, but mostly just stares intently at you. I love that too.
Also, Nate's parents came this weekend to see Karly -- we were so glad they were able to come! We had a great time and Karly was definitely spoiled - I don't think she got put down the entire weekend! We went on a hike, went to lunch and just enjoyed being with them. But I don't have a single picture to prove it - Dan took them all! :)
Oh, and they did say Karly doesn't look ANYTHING like the pictures on this blog. So if you want to see what Karly REALLY looks like, you'll have to come visit! :)

We will be down to visit REALLY soon! How does that sound? Then we can take pics of the cousins together!!!! So exciting! Isn't it cool, but sad at the same time, how time flies by! Adrienne is already 5 1/2 weeks old and I can't believe it. I can't believe it has already been 2 1/2 weeks for you. Hope you are feeling well.
So cute! She is a doll!
i can't believe how fast all the little ones are growing up. we really need to get these cousins together soon. we bought our swing online from target, it is a Boppy brand and cost about $70 and so far we have liked it. it isn't quite the miracle worker that puts graham right to sleep like i had hoped but it keeps him entertained while he is awake and keeps him sleeping once i have done the work to get him to sleep. we chose a swing because we already have a bouncer...it is called graham's car seat on the dryer, it works like a charm.
also, my mom was telling me that you needed a good method to keep karly swaddled at night. we bought a little thing from target as well called the swaddleme...it is a little blanket contraption with velcro that keeps graham all tight and bundled and it has been incredible. they have different sizes for different stages and different materials as well. it is only $10 and totally worth it.
and my last piece of new mom advice. so his little swim suit is actually not quite a suit, it is called a swim diaper, it is washable and reusable and i would totally recommend it. it works much better than the little swimmer diapers and for only $7 i am assuming it will be a much better investment.
ok...so this is like the longest comment ever. i hope this helps. give me a call if you have any questions.
Yeah, I want to see what she really looks like! Sounds like things are going swell.Love you guys!
